People serious about the weight training log approach the gym with clear objectives and have learned how to use the equipment to reach their goals. People who start with similar entries in their personal training diary often end up with different results . The differences are often due to varying degrees of dedication and technique . Successful weight training depends on commitment and form. The same is true of successful relationships.

When starting a liaison, the first step requires sharing similar goals . Just as someone who wants to exercise for bulk approaches the gym differently then someone who is concerned with overall health, people often want different things in relationships. Is the goal marriage, friendship or just having a good time? Getting clear from the start resolves many potential problems. It doesn’t have to stay that way.

couples start relationships with variable skill sets. Some have already done a lot of lifting in other relationships . Some expect others to do all the lifting. If two people have completely different histories, one partner may have to encourage and support the other as they get started on a more vigorous program. . Each brings strength and weakness to the relationship gym. Just look for the lug with mountains on his arms and calves as flat as the prairie and the babe with softball calves and T-stick arms.

All regular gym rats can tell you the pounds don’t matter if the technique is wrong. deliberate and solid is the way. Take a break between sets. Excellent advice when dealing with that rise up between people. Handle one issue at a time. Don’t try to lift everything at once. Grace in lifting gets the best results. Graciousness in problem solving does the same. Is the floor covered with her laundry? Throwing them out the window gets them off the floor but is unlikely to get him anything else. Put a hamper in the room and offer encouragement and praise when the panties land in the right place. Like any workout routine, rewards for achieved goals are a great motivation.

Relationships are dynamic. Like lifting, a committed relationship requires putting in the time, lifting the load and enjoying the results. Changing things up can revive a routine and a workout. A lifter has to be honest about where his or her deficiencies are. That is often where more attention is given. Its no different in relationship. Easily angered? results after the first set. Dedication , good form, time and the joy of effort well spent are qualities that benefit relationships.
