It’s important to remember that some of your muscles are stronger than others, for example your biceps are stronger than your triceps – this is normal – so you may want to use different size weights for the different muscle groups. And while intensity is important, form is takes the priority over intensity – if you are loosing form you are working too hard.

Bicep Curls:

The muscles on the front of the upper arm are your biceps and an easy way to train this muscle group is with arm curls. Start with straight arms and your elbows next to your waist, and your palms facing upward, and simply lift your forearms toward your shoulders without moving your elbows and then straighten the arms.

Triceps Exercises:

To add shape to the back of the upper arm, find exercises that train your triceps. Dips are a great triceps exercise: To do them, find a sturdy chair, with your back towards the seat, place your palms on the chair with your fingers facing towards your body and bend your arms and then straighten them.

Shoulder Exercises:

The muscles in yours shoulders are called the deltoids and having well toned deltoids can really make an arm look amazing. Holding your weights at your side, standing with your feet hip width apart, lift your arms straight to the side as high as your shoulders.
