To make the life of the people much easier, scientists created so called My Pyramid dietary guide that in reality an improved version of the old Food Guide Pyramid (1992). This new one was published and compiled by the members of the United States Department of Agriculture in 2005. Remarkably, the new version is more flexible and modernised. From the nearly beginning Food Guide Pyramid was widely criticized for its flaws and had more opponents than supporters.
